Description: Here is a HUGE! smoky quartz crystal from Ortberg, Naßfeld Valley, St Johann im Pongau District, Salzburg, Austria. This is a fantastic alpine crystal of great proportions, something you will almost never find from this locale! The crystal faces are all very glassy and the presentation is quite impressive. There are a few dozen faint record keeper triangles on one of the terminated faces and some rainbows inside of the quartz. There is minor tip damage and some contact along one side and the bottom from where it was attached, but considering the size I would say this is easily forgivable.
