The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Michael Feichtenschlager was a Corporal in the motorized infantry and was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Infantry Assault Badge, and a Wound Badge. He fell in the East on February 14, 1943 at the age of 31. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
