Description: An original group of 6 US Signal Corp photos of scenes of the AEF in France taken by the US Army Signal Corps 1918-1919 incl 1) Sgt Edward Whitaker & Corporal Eliot driving a Renault Tank at "Cigarette Butte Military Road, 2) Battery B 6th US Field Artillery, 91st Division moving up to advanced position Aubreville-Avincourt Road" "3) President Wilson in Paris, 4) The Trenches at "Gas Hollow" Occupied by the 89th Div until Sept 12th" (Day of the 89th Division Assault at St Mihiel) 5) American Graves at AEF HQ Chaumont, the Marne, May 1918 6) American graves on the Marne May 30, 1918. All photos bear US Signal Corp stamp & ID number in front corner , and pencil inscriptions on reverse. Each image is approx 8.5 x 6.5". A couple of the images have minor creases, overall Good - VG. The group were brought back by an unknown American officer in 1919. The Signal Corp Museum has a complete set of the many images made during the War including these views.
