Brought back by a US Veteran. The Japanese Navy Sextant was used by crew members for long range map calculations. It provided accurate reading, using sidereal (star) navigation. Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by Tamaya, this is a SUPERB and RARE Type 93 Navigational Sextant! Some very slight marks and scratches, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. 100% COMPLETE, it is functional in every aspect. All glass in intact, with no chips or damage, and the optics on the sighting monocular are EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAR! All manufacture marking remain on the monocular. Brought back by a US veteran serving in the Pacific, it measures approx. 11.5" in length. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, or display!
