Description: Original WW2 (1942) GERMAN map of POLAND entitled "BRIESEN" Acquired by the Allies after the fall of Germany and retained by the British 'Directorate of Military Survey', before it was finally removed from the British military archive with a 'CANCELLED' ink stamp in 1976. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence their own ink stamping to margin. (Periodically, the government distributes excess map stocks to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) In excellent condition and measures approximately 50cm x 40cm.
