There's an envelope style drop-in pocket, perfect for a phone, wallet, or keys. It also has a leather cinch strap and a secure buckle closure. There are also two buckle-closure front pockets for other valuables. The leather and straps are beautifully broken-in. The hue of the leather has darkened and burnished over time due to oiling and a natural patina. It's been cleaned with Febring Saddle Soap and conditioned with Saphir Leather Conditioner. Bit of a bag afficionado and looking to retire this one for something different. It has served me well in Marrakech, Paris, Bologne, and Florence.
