Now (in March of 2023) I`m starting to use a new one on future listings that a fellow Ebayer was nice enough to send me... Taken in Florida... NOTE: The first, fourth, and tenth photo are taken with a camera. They have flash glare, but they offer a better idea as to the actual color tone. The other photo`s are taken with my phone, and they show better detail in most cases and lack the glare... This auction is for one CGC graded magazine, sent for grading in January 2024 and received back in February 2024. Witches Tales Volume 1 Number 7 published by Eerie Publications from July of 1969 in 6.5 Fine Plus with Cream to Off-White pages. This is the FIRST issue of the title! According to the CGC Census, at the time of this listing this is tied with one other book as the sixth best copy the CGC has ever graded. I will say they used VERY strict grading on this one. It displays exceedingly well for the 6.5 grade that they gave it(I really expected a grade of 7.5 on this one...). The 54th Edition Overstreet would place the graded value of this book in 6.5 at $36.00, and (even though I know we are not buying slabs... we are buying magazines) the CGC grading and encapsulating along with their shipping and handling fees would run you over forty bucks(magazines cost more...). Total expenses on this one ran me just over $44.00. I have set the minimum bid at 120% of graded guide value plus forty-four dollars for the CGC grading, which, along with the nineteen dollars in shipping is, in my opinion, quite reasonable. Compare it to what other sellers are asking. This is a CGC certified grade, so you know what you`re getting. I may have a different opinion of the grade of a book than the CGC, but they ARE the recognized grading standard these days, and these differences usually are on older books. No returns on CGC graded books. They are what they are. The plastic case is the new style they have used since the start of 2023, and it is in excellent shape with no noteworthy defects. This book will ship securely packaged in a box, NOT AN ENVELOPE. It will be individually bagged, but you will most likely want to put a new bag on it, since the one it is now in is for protection, not looks, and it may show wear. IMPORTANT NOTE ON SHIPPING: This CGC graded book will ship Priority(UNLESS your zip code begins with a 7, 8, or 9, in which case it will likely ship PARCEL POST.) for a total shipping cost of $19.00. If it ends up costing less than $19.00 by more than a full dollar, then I will send a partial refund to make sure you are only paying actual shipping costs. NO RETURNS: Almost all of the comics I list have been bought as back issues by me. I have know knowledge of where they have been prior to being in my home. SHIPPING and HANDLING: Although many of my comic book listings for un-graded, or RAW books ship for FREE, these CGC auctions will have a shipping fee for PRIORITY shipping attached, and they are shipped fully insured, so a signature may well be required for receipt... Although I do offer combined shipping, I will not combine shipping for COMIC BOOK AUCTIONS or with shipping for MELMAC AUCTIONS. CGC Books ship Priority(unless ZIP CODE...). Raw books ship MEDIA MAIL, which is the most economical way to ship these, so that is how they will likely ship, with tracking included. While this method is the cheapest it is also the slowest. Items COULD take ten days or so to arrive. Melmac ships at the Parcel Postage rate, unless Priority is the same cost(which it sometimes is...). COMBINED SHIPPING FOR CGC BOOKS: Pay full amount of shipping on each auction won. Discounts for combined shipping will be handled as a REFUND to give back over-payment to reflect actual shipping costs. Additional shipping will not exceed more than half of full shipping amount for each additional item. ABSOLUTELY NO LOCAL PICK-UP. Please do not ask if item can be picked up locally. It can not. HANDLING TIME: Your items will ship within two business days after I receive your payment, provided the Post Office is open.
