Description: This is an early stock certificate from the 'Moulton Mining Company,' of Butte City, Territory of Montana. It is unissued, but already signed by William Andrews Clark as president. Clark was a mining pioneer who owned outright almost every enterprise in which he had an interest. He was a United States Senator and died as one of the 50 wealthiest men in American History. This is the extremely rare green version of the stock. The stock was printed by American Bank Note. There is a mining scene vignette up top and a second vignette of a miner at the bottom.
