Description: THIS JUST MAYBE THE COOLEST ASHTRAY THAT A REAL CASINO EVER HAD FOR IT'S SMOKING GUESTS. These ultra cool ashtrays were never sold in the gift shop. Which means if you have one, you might have just plain stolen it! However, one doesn't really have to steal in this town, (if taking an ashtray is really stealing.) Allow me to explain, the people in Las Vegas are very nice! It's truly amazing here if you win, they treat you so good! But if you lose. they still treat you so nice too. Meaning on this particular trip to the "Desert Inn", had I won, and took a fancy to this ashtray, they probably would have just given it to me. On this particular night though, I lost. I had mention it to the cocktail waitress that these might be the coolest ashtray's I ever seen, could I get one in the gift shop? That's when she told me the sad news that they didn't sell them there. However, when she came back to our table a couple rounds of drinks later. She said had this little black plastic bag and said there was a little surprise in it for me. She also told me, don't open it until later she didn't want the other players to get jealous. Ha-ha, at this point I had actually forgot I enquired about the ashtrays earlier. I actually thought it was one of these chocolate chip cookies that we had also been talking about that they sold in one of the restaurants they were big and delicious! And honestly I was hoping maybe her phone number! She sure was pretty! Later back in my hotel room, I opened the bag, there was no cookie, no phone number. But there was this ashtray, with a note saying thanks for all the smoking tips that I had been giving her, that was so nice right! The Desert Inn opened April 24th,1950 they closed August 28th, 2000, gosh has it really been closed for 24 years? The ashtray is approximately 5 inches round about 1.5 inches tall. Note, that cocktail waitress grabbed me one of the nicer ashtrays and that's for sure. Remember they were really used as real ashtrays... This one looks pretty sharp, but I can see a "little bump" over the number 28, please check the pictures. Please check out all my other rare cool items.
