Printed within the White Mountains in central NH. The issues in the lot are:July 11, 1885 / Aug 2, 1884 / Sept. 7, 1889 / Aug. 30, 1884 / Sept. 20, 1890 / July 5, 1890 (incomplete, only 8 pp. of16) / Aug. 11, 1883 / Jul 4, 1885 (lacks front cover, so 14 pp. of 16). Many illustrations throughout, including advertising and views, endless detailed stories of local interest, countless names of visitors staying at the many hotels across the region, perhaps of interest to genealogists. Each issue shows signs of time and age, as do most old newspapers like this which survive entirely by random chance. All have been folded in half long ago (perhaps as issued), fold-lines now browned, numerous scattered edge splits, short tears, browning, etc. Numerous pages still unopened as issued.
