Description: Up for auction is a copy of WHAT IF #27 from 1981 asking the question " What if Phoenix had not died?" This issue is from my own personal collection and was purchased new when it came out and has been stored away since then. Book is complete, clean, crease and stain-free with cover and centerfold attached, sharp corners, white to off-white pages and vibrant cover gloss. There is some very light spine wear consisting of a few barely perceptible stress lines and that's about it. A very sharp sharp looking book, I would grade it as a NM. Included with this book is a copy of PHOENIX : THE UNTOLD STORY #1 ONE-SHOT from 1984 featuring the ORIGINAL ENDING TO THE DEATH OF PHOENIX IN X-MEN #137! Book features a new wraparound cover, the original ending to X-Men #137, a 13 page interview with Jim Shooter, Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Terry Austin discussing the story and why it was changed and the original splash page to X-Men #138 which was never used. Book is NM. Both of these books will make an excellent addition to your collection. Shipping will be by Priority US Mail with tracking and insurance and check out my other auctions for more great items to combine shipping costs.
