He traveled all year crossing the country on his bus with a big band that included a young Jaco Pastorious on bass. He took time off to record for Chess this album consisting of rehashes of R&B recordings. Cochran, a bona fide soul man, jams on Bobby McClure's "Peak of Love," the Temptations' "Get Ready," Sam & Dave's "You Don't Know Like I Know," and the smoldering "You Can't Judge a Book By the Cover."
