Description: Vulcan Safety Chef Vintage Camp Stove 1950’s era Manufactured by the Vulcan Radiator Company. New in the original storage can with instructions. Cans are a bit dented from years of storage and oxidation/rust on stoves. ServiceableOriginally burned a sterno type fuel in a metal container called SA-fuel. There are some youtube videos showing the original fuel being used with this stove making it clear that it is not the best option to use now. A refilled fuel can with perlite and two fluid ounces of methanol or an alcohol wick burner (LifeSaver tin & insulation) are the best options. Original box they were stored in are dated in the 1950's. Storage can is 6" tall x 5" diam. Stove is 5 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" diam, weights about 1.6 lbs. A nice collectible of years gone by! New old stock Surplus.
