Description: VTG Weiler Yuma Custom Bowie Knife w/ Original custom Leather Sheath. 4.05” blade, 8.35” overall Beautiful and well balanced, stag handle with an ornate etching along the pommel. Blade is exquisite, unused and uncarried. Tang stamped Weiler Yuma on both blade and sheath. Very light scuff marks and age related patina along guard. Donald Weiler passed away in 2008 at the age of 78. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and American Legion. He was also a member of the Black Powder Club, the Knife Makers Guild. He completed his education in the Air Force. Don was a world renowned custom knife maker. Don was in the military from 1948 to 1968. His military career commenced with the Merchant Marines followed by enlistment and retirement from the Air Force. He received numerous achievement awards throughout his Air Force career. After his military career, he was acknowledged by Public Broadcasting System by profiling his occupation as a knifemaker. He was acknowledged numerous times in the Knifemakers Guild.
