Fresh from an estate and offered for purchase is this stunning matching pair of unsigned Italian pottery life-size White Cockatoo birds, one with the crest open. These were created of light brown ceramic clay (not plaster) with hand-painted glossy white all over glaze featuring black eyes and brown accents on the branches. One measures 8" x 15" x 22.5" tall, and the other is 7" x 13" x 23.5" tall. Each weighs about 15 lbs. They can be used indoors and would also look great in the garden. Condition of both is very good with no cracks, major chips, or repairs. Both have overall crazing that is likely original, and both have just a few minor chips at the very bottom edge as shown in the last photo. A nice addition to any home or collection...
