Description: Vtg L. A. Goodman Mfg Co Forest Fire w/Wildlife Scene Motion Light c1956 WORKS Click image to enlarge Description Offered for your consideration is a vintage motion lamp. From 1956, this depicts a wildlife forest and cabin scene, with a wildfire nearby. The light is cylindrical in shape and was made by the L. A. Goodman Manufacturing Company. The lamp is created with a hard plastic outer shade and a more pliable plastic cylinder. There is a metal base, along with a metal post for the spinner cylinder. The inner cylinder is not marked, but the top of the outer shade, as well as the bottom rim, bears the name of the manufacturer, along with the year. The 'motion' of the lamp is created when the heat from a 40 watt light bulb causes the inner cylinder to spin. The lamp sits an art deco base, with 3 wire feet, where the on/off switch is located. The lamp is in very good 'as found' condition. It does show use and handling, and some expected signs of age, though the color is vivid. The lamp does light, and the inner cylinder does spin. The lamp measures about 6 1/2" in diameter and stands about 10 3/4" tall. The cord is about 6' long. It has a total weight of about 14 ounces, and will ship at 3 pounds, as it will be double boxed for protection. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thank you for viewing my listing.
