Description: Vtg Kochs Glass Aluminum Rotating Light up Barber Pole 1920's Orig Antique Unrestored.... told this was off my grandfathers barber shop, remember it on the bld in the 60's , building was between 4th & 5th ave new kensington.... he closed in the early 70's left it on the bld.... building is still there, talked to guy that had the bld, he turned me onto the guy that he bought it from & so on, after few years I got a surprise call ......... pretty much all there, the top ss piece was missing, I purchased one, motor runs... didnt want to restore it, think it has a great patina.... pretty sure its from the 20's to 30's not sure when he opened up, he was born in 1901 right in the middle of the mafia town...... probably had some pretty famous characters in his shop, read the book, little chicago......all about new kensington pa.....back when the mob ran the town, it was safe & profitable..... big bussinesses like alcoa, ppg, steel mills etc........ have it hanging on wall of shop, not sure why Im selling it, guess time for someone else to enjoy it........my grandfather was antonio marino..... hope you enjoyed my story. more than welcome to pick up at shop & save shipping.
