Vtg. Juliana Rhinestone Feather Brooch De Lizza and Elster Rhodium Gold Plated

Description: This beautiful brooch has many of the characteristics listed on an online site for the identification of De Lizza & Elster jewelry. Its characteristics include the following: 1. Unmarked 2. Heavy 3. Large and showy 4. Constructed in 2 pieces held together by rivets. 5. Rhodium plated with puddling of the solder. 6. The rhinestones are beautifully cut navettes with an unfoiled back. The top portion, which holds the red, green and amethyst stones, appears to be plated with gold, the bottom portion is rhodium plated. The brooch measures 4 ½” long and 1 ½” at the widest point. Because of the style, I would say that if this is truly Juliana, it would be an early piece, possibly 1940. The rhodium plating is still very beautiful, but has a small amount of wear.
