Description: Empty gift cardboard box from a department store called The Hager Store, located at 29-31 West King St, Lancaster, PA. Christopher Hager founded the general store in 1821 and it remained in the same family ownership for approx 150 years. It appeared to have closed in 1977. Box is undated but based on the illustration of the Hager's Pigeon Hole Parking on the box, my guess is that this is from the late 1950's. Box measures 10 3/4" x 7 1/4" x 2". It has no pencil or ink writing on it but does have some minor paper loss on the bottom left corner and some stains on the front 2" tall panel. Inside of the bottom of the box has water stains but when showing the box you never see them (see my last 2 photos). From a pet free and smoke free home-the box has no odor. Only one like it on ebay.
