Description: Here is a fine piece of craftsmanship made in Detroit, Mich, USA! It's a vintage DARDEVLET spoon lure. One of the most classic and timeless lures of all time. Features the red/white color scheme with scales pattern; sturdy O'Shaugnessy style hook (to keep the surf Jack's and big muskies from chewing up and spitting out those feeble trebles) and "feathered" weedless setup. Well... it used to be feathered... all that's left now is a scrubby little bit of the end of a feather - big toothy fish are kinda hard on feathers). But easy enough to fix quick. The hook screw allows easy removal (the pics show it with and without the hook as I took it off to clean the lure). You can use your basic fly-tying skills to tie on whatever color feather or streamer suits you (original is red). Measures approx. 2 7/8" long and weighs .7 ounce on postal scale. Looks really good for its age. There's a reason you find at least one of these in every old timers tackle box - these WORK!
