Description: Early original Butterfinger Curtiss Candy box/package artwork panel dating to the late 1920s or early 1930s based on the newspaper article attached to the backside which has a hand-written date of 1931. The artwork is bright and the surface of the package has wear including light scuffs/scratches, stains, and rough edges as shown. Edges of panel have a rough-cut finish with portions of the artwork missing. The panel measures approximately 11" wide by 5 1/2" tall. The memoriam/obituary article on the back describes an Indian Princess named Ya-Wa-Ona-Osha-Ah-Wa of the Cho-Konee Tribe, described as being one of the largest tribes in California at one time. Due to the article on the back, a portion of the sale will be donated to the Native American Rights Fund. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
