Description: One miniture bar of Lux brand soap, used as an advertisement for Simmons Kit Co., 404 4th Ave, New York 16, New York. The guest size bar of soap, which measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" has a wonderful drawing of a kitten holding a case with the slogan "Travel with a Simmons Kit". I researched the company's name and location and found nothing. I really can't tell what they sold or did. The bar is undated, but the company uses a postal zone in its address so it has to be between 1943 and 1963. It also uses 4th Ave as its address and 4th ave was renamed Park Ave in 1958, so I placed this bar of soap circa 1958 (it could be as early as 1943). Wrapped in plastic to retain its wonderful condition, with the only negative I see is a red mark just above the kitten's tail. Very nice piece of advertising and outstanding cat/kitten collectible. Only one like it on ebay.
