Description: VIOLET JESSOP- WHAT AN AMAZING WOMAN!!! VIOLET SURVIVED TUBERCULOSIS AS A CHILD. WHEN HER FATHER DIED, HER MOTHER LEFT TO BECOME A STEWARDESS ON AN OCEAN LINER; LEAVING VIOLET AT AGE 16 TO CARE FOR HER YOUNGER SISTER. THEY WERE TAKEN INTO A CONVENT. LATER SHE FOLLOWED IN HER MOTHERS FOOTSTEPS AND WENT TO SEA AS A STEWARDESS. VIOLET WAS ONE TOUGH COOKIE-- CONSIDERED QUITE ATTRACTIVE, SHE HELD HER OWN IN A MAN'S WORLD & GREW TO BE RESPECTED BY HER CREW MATES. VIOLET SURVIVED 3 NOTABLE INCIDENTS: 1- 1911, SHE WAS ON BOARD RMS OLYMPIC DURING THE COLISSION WITH THE HMS HAWKE 2- 1912, SHE SURVIVED THE SINKING OF THE RMS TITANIC. 3- 1916, SERVING AS A NURSE DURING WW1 ABOARD BRITTANIC, SHE SURVIVED THAT SINKING AS WELL. THIS LISTING IS FOR A NICE TRIBUTE TO VIOLET. MY PHOTOGRAPHY LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED- THE PRINT LOOKS MUCH NICER AND NOT AS DARK. IT IS PRINTED ON 65LB ACID FREE, ARCHIVAL PARCHMENT ( MINUS THE WATERMARK) I WILL SHIP YOUR REPRINT IN A SHEET PROTECTOR, SANDWICHED BETWEEN 2 CHIPBOARDS, & PLACED IN A KRAFT STAY FLAT MAILER. I SHIP VIS USPS WITH TRACKING. THANKS FOR LOOKING & CHECK BACK OFTEN AS I AM ADDING NEW ITEMS EVERY DAY!
