It puts out lots of fragrant flowers in the mid-spring until mid-summer with violet and yellow petals that are strap-shaped. It can grow in full sun as well as part shade. It requires well-drained soil and average water needs. Zones 6-9 Germination Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds on top of the medium and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist in a bright spot.
