Maker: American or Effanbee Material: Composition body/head/limbs, natural fiber yarn hair. Features: Movie star Anne Shirley Doll is from the (1936-1940). Other than light crazing throughout, rub with slight divots on her lower cheek seen in the photograph and chip on right chest area, she is in wonderful condition. Anne-Shirley has blue sleep eyes, light rosy cheeks, closed mouth, separated fingers and jointed composition body which is in very good condition (also wears pale nail polish). She is wearing the clothing she came to me in except the shoes which I added and are old. Her red palm tree print dress and panties match her shoes. Effanbee or or Anne-Shirley is in raised lettering on her back, there is no raised U.S.A on the base of her head under her dish-water blond light auburn natural fiber hair. Stringing is okay and will hold her head well but not an arm or leg pose. She's really quite wonderful! Approximately 22 inches (55 cm) in height. Clothing: Cotton and appropriate to the era. Wears under panties, slip with scalloped laced edge, pink socks which are not as old. This is not the original Anne Shirley Outfit she would have been purchased in except possibly the slip and undies. 22" ( 55 cm.) in height. Age: 1936-40+ (hair indicates closer to war years) Condition: Coloring uneven in places, crazing throughout but light and no lifting.
