Vintage World War II Naval Flag Authentic WW2 "G" "George"

According to the International Morse Code alphabet, this flag means the letter "G" also known as "George" or "Golf" and this flag was also used to signal "I require a pilot" within the US Navy. Such a unique find! This flag comes from a collection of vintage United States naval flags that were found when cleaning out a mariners home in Maine. These flags belonged to him during his service! Each flag from this set will have the same backstory, but we will provide the sizes for each flag individually. Among the flags is a rear admiral flag, so we believe that was his rank within the US navy. Some of these flags are stamped with a name, year, and naval base. Some are stamped with "Mare Island" which was the first US naval base established on the Pacific ocean. According to their stamps, the flags range from about 1942-1945, so they are World War II era flags. These are so interesting to take a look at! None of them are in "perfect" condition, they were each clearly used and are well worn flags. They would look incredible hanging on the wall of a home! Each flag is an incredible find, and would be perfect as a wall hanging, or just for the right collector who would like to hold a piece of world history in their hands. There is a collection of large hole on the bottom near the hoist of this flag. The metal hangings attached to the rope along the hoist of this flag are very rusty.
