Description: Hey all. Came across this incredibly complete machinist toolbox, solid wood. The thing is all here it's got the front drawer all the original knobs it's got the nub hinges for the front door it's got the lock the strike I'm not exactly sure about the hinge as it looks a little bit newer but it could be original I just figured they would have gone with brass or something. Also. The 2nd to the bottom drawer has been repaired in its lifetime the wood must have broken and they went ahead and hacked up an old metal autolite sign they must have had lying around the garage and perfectly fit that in there I didn't even notice it was there till I took it out to clean it cuz there were cardboard liners so cool little treat for you. Easter eggs. See the pics. The number conversion chart is from an automotive shop in my area so we know that's what it was used for the majority of its life. And honestly it was covered with motor oil and that's probably what kept it in such amazing condition. Some pipe and hot water in Murphy's oil soap and I just went to it and I got this far and I found a gem little brass feet at each corner. The craftsmanship the quality the what appears to be some sort of hardened steel maybe stainless the guides inside for the drawers very impressive. This would have taken a long time to make. I have to say it's only 99.2% complete I did notice that on the foot the brass corners one of the screws is missing of the three and that's all I really found you got any questions just ask I'll try to answer the best I can otherwise see the pictures they'll describe it a lot better than I can.
