Description: This is an amazing and rare find: a gorgeous wooden chest estimated to be 80-100 years old. The metalwork is all handmade, the front clasp keeps the chest tightly closed and you can lock it with a padlock. It is handmade of solid wood using only hand tools, and it is made the in 1910s-1930s. It is super shabby, it shows clear marks of use, chipped off paint, patina, and just history of the many years. I did not fix anything as I find it adorable as it is.I did add beautiful iron wheels as the trunk is heavy, making it easier to change place, please note that the wheels will be removed for transit to avoid damage, you will only need a Phillips head screwdriver to attach them back. The blue part has been attached later on as repair.This chest would look great as a coffee table, as a footlocker at the foot of a bed, it is pretty big so a lot of stuff can be put inside it while the top surface can be used as a table or display shelf.A great display piece.This piece is from Turkey and has been used frequently, the wood is in a good state, the only defect is some damages to the wood. It has the patina only many years of use can give. NO mold or smell. It is 21 1/4'' (54 cm) high and 30 3/4'' (78 cm) wide and 18'' (46 cm) deep. It is very heavy, made of solid wood.
