Description: Travel back in time with this vintage fiddle. With a 14'' body and 23-1/2'' body, it is a 4/4, full-size violin. There are no maker marks on it. No label on the inside. Cosmetically, it looks good. Hardly any scuffs, scrapes, or scratches. Two-piece brilliantly flame maple back. Flame maple sides. Maple neck. Spruce top. There are some cracks that have been repaired on lower bout top around the tailpiece. It is very clean. Modern tailpiece with four fine tuners. New strings. The bow is stamped ARTIST by the frog. The bow is only partially haired. It comes in an old FLM Bull's Head case. The middle clasp is non-functional because the top half has been cut out of the lid edge. The other two latches, hinges, and handle all work. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 32"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
