They are in clean, well maintained very lightly used pre-owned condition and measure 8 feet long from the bit to the popper. The 4 plait reins are 49 inches in length by a little more than 3/8 inches in diameter with a 47 inch long romal that is 5/16 inches in diameter. This is a really nice pair of beautifully braided rawhide button vintage reins that are a great choice for using everyday. These reins are a comfortable weight with and the rawhide buttons and hondos provide color accents for a polished finish. Historically associated with the vaquero tradition of Western riding, romal reins are most commonly used in modern Western pleasure and equitation classes as well as reining and other working cowhorse events.
