For generations, souvenirs, mementos, handcrafts and decorative goods from the island have traditionally been hand crafted wooden items. This example is an estate find and has survived free of chips, cracks in the wood or distortions. The lid fits perfectly and the finish is like furniture. It stands 2 1/2 inches (6cm) tall and is 3 inches (8cm) in diameter. Substantial in the hand, it is pretty much the size of a medium sized apple.
