Description: Wonderful, vintage, Taxco Mexican handmade sterling silver ball shaped pendant/locket. This is an amazing piece of craftsmanship and quite beautiful. The ball of silver is held closed by two arms on the top, decorated with stampwork, which lock into the sides of the sphere. When released, it opens up in accordion style to reveal six round receptacles for pictures. It is marked Sterling, Taxco, and has the eagle stamp with a number 3. Signed "SE". So interesting, attractive and useful! Very nice vintage condition. Measures 1" diameter. Weighs approximately 14.6 grams. Bail for chain measures approximately 5mm.
