Description: Rolex Datejust Ref. 1603! This is a great vintage 1970's stainless steel Rolex Datejust ref. 1603 with service papers out of an estate. When this watch went back to Rolex for service in 2006, they included replacing the dial, hands and the case! The service papers have the original serial number and the serial number of the new case they used!! This is a rare find and makes the condition on this one really nice! The watch is in a 36 mm stainless steel case with stainless steel engine-turned bezel and will fit 20 mm straps. The case has minor scratches. Really a good find--excellent dial hands and case on this vintage watch and all done by Rolex!Serial number 4704xxx, dates to early 1970's. The watch is currently running, and smooth to wind/set. It is currently keeping time within about 4 sec/day according to our timing machine. We do not know the service history (outside of the fact that it went to Rolex in 2006) on this watch and recommend it be serviced after purchase. We do not guarantee the timekeeping on this watch.
