Description: Nice Vintage tomahawk with heavy leather sheath...Shows little signs of wear...not much more than a dusting of rust from storage. Overall length is 32 7/8"...head is 8 3/8" wide...blade is 3 5/8". Was acquired from the estate of someone who owned a gun shop/trading post from the 1970's until his passing in 2018. Was told by the daughter that her dad custom made both the tomahawk and sheath...can't find another like it so guessing it to be true...I can tell the paint on the head was done by hand. I know he had a machine shop, a woodworking shop, and did leather work as a part of his business so I have no reason to doubt what I was told. The side with the spike has a sharpened area so you certainly want to be careful when handling/using this. Very unique looking tomahawk.
