Description: This listing is for a rare vintage 1930s-40s era Premax 50" 1-piece metal fishing rod with wood grip. It has just enough of the label to see it is a Premax. It was patented in 1940 and submitted by G.O. Benson on behalf of Chisolm-Ryder Company in Niagra Falls, New York. Premax was a division under the Chisolm-Ryder Company. So, this rod is likely from the the late 1930's to early 40's timeframe. It has one line guide and someone has cobbled a tip, however a nice old fishing rod!
