Here is an original vintage 1941 LUMITONE table top electrical lamp with AM radio combination. Sometimes called a bullet radio. Lumitone out manufactured by Mitchell Mfg.Co. of Chicago in 1941. The case is Bakelite and an ivory color. It also comes with it's glass cone shaped shade that extends the light straight up to the ceiling. You can also add a standard fabric shade over the top for better light disbursement. It takes a standard light bulb and recommends it be under 60 watts. The radio has a round knob as shown at the base for AM stations. It does work, but takes a minute for the tubes to warm up. The volume sounds a little scratchy when the volume knob is rotated, but other than that it works just fine as it did on my grandparents' desk over 50 years ago. I believe about everything is original on this, including the paper manufacturer tag on the bottom. I did replace 4 tiny hard rubber feet on the bottom that were deteriorated from time - for stability and to raise it up high enough to rotate the dial. No damage, cracks, chips, etc. Size is about 17-3/4" from bottom to top of lamp socket. The glass shade adds about 5-1/2" to the height. Shade diameter is 6-1/4".
