Description: Because I do not have providence or a settled date, I said vintage OR antique. But I think it's fairly obvious from the original framing here that it is almost certainly an antique oil painting. The colors are quite lovely and subtle. The painter has captured the golden hour in a mountain landscape that features a lake or tarn. It's a great feeling of natural solitude in the style of the Romantic painters. The tree is also quite lovely in detail and colored by the late evening sun. This could be a listed artist whose name is hidden by the frame. I did not disassemble it. The original string used to hang it has broken, but you would probably do better to use a simple wire anyway. The eyelet screws are still present so you don't even need to acquire those. This is a nice size for decor, measuring approximately 25 inches by 17 inches (frame). It is not behind glass. There is the expected bits of wear to the frame but really nothing that would disqualify it from being displayed as is, with its venerable age and those wabi-sabi interest points of having lived... inasmuch as art does... and I believe it does.
