Description: This sturdy-looking, super-heavy duty 1/2" drive 12" breaker bar was made probably in the late 1930's or early 1940's by the New Britain Machine Company. It's made from chrome steel; the shaft is .65 in diameter. It has some overall light pitting, which gives it a great patina. There are signs of wear and use, primarily on the handle, but they're disguised quite well by the knurled finish. The swivel head with ball detent works just as it did when new.A fine piece of American tool history!
