Description: Vintage Seminole or Micosukee patchwork jacket. Has some really nicely done patchwork alternating with strips of fabric and applied ric rac. I don't even think you can buy ric rac this fine anymore. There are some tiny squares of fabric smaller than a pencil eraser in some of the patchwork so whoever made this was really skilled. Unlined. No zipper or other closure. It just hangs open. Buttons on the sleeve ends. I'm really unsure what size this is. Because of the unique construction it's difficult to give the underarm to underarm measurement, sleeve length, or shoulder measurement. I'm giving the underarm to underarm measurement below the triangular part that is below the arm. So a bit below the actual underarm. The underarm area itself is quite full. Sleeves are long--I have long arms and they are quite long on me. I wear a ladies XL and and it fits me. My husband tried it on and he's an XL and he can get it on but the front doesn't come together. So my best guess is a man's medium to large. 27 inches underarm to underarm.27 inches in length. The only issue I see is on the collar where two pieces of ric rac should be joined and they are slightly apart. If you wanted to you could tack them down pretty easily with a few stitches. There are a few loose threads here and there. Honestly I think this might never have been worn--there were lots of loose threads on it like it had just been taken off the sewing machine and loose pieces of thread hadn't yet been removed.
