Description: Vintage MCM Tole Student Desk Office Lamp Metal Shade Counterweight Black Gold Brass *** This mid century table lamp stands about 26" tall by approximately 17" wide, and weighs in at 8 lbs., 9 oz. The base of the lamp is black and brass with gold accents, and the 18" diameter shade is metal with a hand painted stencil in tulip and laurel leaf patterns. Underneath the metal shade with a reticulated brass colored top rim is a cone-shaped white milk glass diffuser. The socket fixture on this lamp is supported by a metal arm balanced with a brass plated counterweight. The center pole is topped by a round gold ring. A wonderful accent lamp for any room. In gently used vintage condition with wear consistent with age of item. This lamp has a new socket, switch, and pull chain. The white milk glass diffuser has no no chips or cracks. There are no dents to the metal shade. The brass parts of the lamp show the some wear due to age, and the paint on the shade shows a few signs of wear (see final photos).
