Description: Vintage folding magnetic chess set with metal board on plastic folding case with clasp. Pieces are stored inside closed case, which has a fuzzy green liner. The pieces are quite detailed. The set includes the original box and instructions. The board shows wear in the form of either dirt or scratches on the black squares mostly on only one side (the side with the Made in Germany sticker). As noted, this item is shown as "Made in Germany", and has been in the family long enough that it isn't post-unification. This is a family-owned item, and was purchased in New York at Abraham & Strauss; probably Brooklyn. Kept in a smoke-free home. A great addition to any chess set collection!
