Description: Offering a mid century modern, Italian hand painted pottery, pasta bowl by Giovanni Desimone. This bowl measures 8" in diameter and 2" in height. No chips or cracks. There is some light scattered pitting in the shiny glaze but this is true retro. The bowl is hand signed on the bottom: Desimone Italy 64/15 - not for food use. It is worth mentioning that Desimone protested adding this warning on his pottery, filed suit, and was able to prove he used no lead in his paints. It was only for a short period that he had to fight it because later US customs removed the need for it, so there are not many Desimone pieces that have this on them. FREE DOMESTIC SHIPPING!
