Description: Vintage Iroquois branded carbon steel hunting/camp kitchen knife 9 3/4" long 5 1/2" clip point blade 4 3/4" from bolster to end of round wooden handle, painted gloss black This knife is a vintage piece marked on the side of the blade "Iroquois carbon steel", this might be a knife from Utica Cutlery Company's Iroquois house brand. IF that is the case, this knife would have been produced c. 1920-1940. I have not been able to find a more definitive identification for this knife, so while I personally believe it's likely a USA-made item that is somewhere between 80-100 years old, that is only a guess, not a statement of fact. While it does bear a brand marking, buyers should consider the origin of this knife to be unknown. The condition is used with wear and patina overall. The blade has some surface rust and discoloration, the edge shows the signs of use and sharpening. There is one very small chip near the tip of the blade. The handle is painted black and has scratches, wear, and some areas of missing & damaged paint. There is a small chunk missing on the underside of the handle, otherwise the handle appears to be solid. The handle is pinned to the blade, with a bolster that appears to be made of galvanized steel. The knife is solid, with no loose movement of its parts. This knife comes unrestored and has no sheath. It's a great display piece, or it could be a fun restoration project. Please review all pictures closely before bidding to assess condition, the knife is sold as-is. USA shipping.
