Description: CRYSTAL SNUFF BOTTLE Vintage Inside Reverse Painted “KOI FISH” Theme Artist Signed This superb inside painted snuff bottle measures approximately 2 inches wide and just under 3 inches tall. It displays the most intricate paintings of koi fish in a natural setting, with clear crystal glass giving the impression that they are suspended in water. The bottle is made of glass crystal and the stopper of natural agate with the typical imperfections of the genuine stone. This snuff bottle will be carefully boxed and packaged and sent via USPS with postal tracking. “Excellent” Pre-Owned Condition: a few tiny chips/nicks to bottom edge and some tiny chips/abrasion to inner edge of opening where stopper fits. And a few very small faint scratches to body that are hard to notice without specifically searching for them. They are simply decorative bottles with transfer prints applied inside and slightly painted over. A true reverse painted bottle requires the artist to use a tiny brush often containing a single hair. The painting is performed in reverse with the detail being applied before the background. This bottle has been fully and delicately hand-painted with expert skill.
