Description: Vintage Imperial Glass Purple Slag Honey Pot Lidded Jar 1960s. This gorgeous example of Imperial Slag Glass is a unique and harder to find purple color with ribbons of white throughout. This piece was purchased in either 1965 or 1966 by my Grandma who, along with my Grandpa, were driving to NYC from Missouri to visit my Mom and Dad (6 or so years before I was born). It is possible this was purchased at the Imperial Glass showroom. There are NO chips, cracks, or crazing in this beautifully textured purple honeypot adorned with flying bees. While I did clean it gently, it could use another bath. Purple is one of the rare slag colors. This piece has a wonderful mixture of dark aubergine and white. However, if you display it closer to a light source, you will notice lovely shades of soft plum. It is time for me to consolidate my collection, and I truly hope this piece finds a safe haven in your home. 3.25" diameter Approx 5"T with lid
