Description: Vintage 1958 Holt Howard Japan Cozy Kittens Salt and Pepper Shaker set with original box. Shakers appear to be unused as the inside piece with enough shaking from the blue scarf kitten eventually falls out (it can easily be slid back in) and is still sealed at the top with original contents still inside (see images 2, 3 and 4). The pink scarf kitten's inside piece is still wrapped inside the shaker with a strip of cardboard (see images 16, 17 and 18) and piece will not move for me and seems to be very tightly inside the shaker. Neither shaker has a back stopper. Pink kitten shows some pinkish toning on her white coat and what appears to be a factory error on her lower outer rim (see image 15). Pink scarf kitten also has a few very small and superficial chips on her left hand ear (see image 24), blue scarf kitten shows only very little vague gray toning here and there and a very small and superficial chip to the pain on the right hand ear (see image 23). Each kitten shaker measures approximately 4 1/4 inches tall 2 3/8 x 2 inches wide and weigh 1/4 of a pound.
