Description: This is a vintage, passed down in our family but no longer needed, Henry Disston & Sons 24 1/4 inch ripping saw with wooden handle and 6 tpi. The blade is straight and there are no missing or damaged teeth and the teeth are still fairly sharp; no damage on or cracks in the handle. There is some minor age pitting and some surface rust on the blade that can easily be neutralized or removed. The visible square mark on the left side of the blade is where a piece of masking tape was applied and eventually removed. The medallion in the handle is in good condition and shows " Disston/Phila". The etched company information near the middle on the left hand side of the blade is worn but still vivible - "HENRY DISSTON & SONS, KEY STONE SAW WORKS, PHILADELPHIA, USA, CAST STEEL WARRANTED, PATENT GROUND, REG US PAT. OFF". Interestingly, above the company information in fairly large letters is "FOR METAL OR WOOD". Please carefully view the images for all the above details. All the above lettering is worn and faded but still visible. I tried my best with different lighting to show it in the images. Please contact me if you have any questions about this saw. Thanks for looking! 211
