Description: This beautiful clay plate was made in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, by Frankoma Pottery, to commemorate George Sells "Sequoyah's Cherokee Alphabet, which he invented, based on several other alphabets, to give Native Americans their own unique alphabet. It is made out of the red Oklahoma Clay found in the area around Sapulpa, Oklahoma and the glaze is their own traditional Prairie Gold color. (one of several unique Frankoma colors that this plate was produced in.) It is in new condition and has a hanger on the back.
