Description: Up for sale is this Vintage Foster Brothers #1180 Meat Cleaver Knife Heavy Blade Wood Handle. I found this cleaver with surface rust on the blade. Spent some time cleaning up the blade to what you see now. The blade shows a few small place up towards the handle where You can see tiny rust pits and you can just feel them when you run your finger over them. I also see some tiny dings on the side of the blade from some metal on metal blow. The top back edge of the blade also shows where it received some blows. The good news is the blade looks like it has had few sharpening's if any with with good height to the blade. Overall blade and handle weighs 2-1/2 Pounds. I have sanded the handle and it has no chips or cracks and is riveted tightly to the tang. You could keep cleaning it up but as it is it is now its ready to go to work.
