Description: Vintage Fireman's Axe. Interesting story with this one. I bought it from a man who found it as a kid back in the 60's after it was left behind by a fireman that used it to bust into the attic when their house caught fire. The responding fire company was from Apalachin, NY which is likely what the "AP" stands for. The head is huge, over 12" long. Likely weighs 7 or 8lbs. Handle and head are in good condition with no visible damage. Both retain original paint. I couldn't find a name on the axe but I didn't want to disturb the original patina so I didn't remove any of the paint or rust. Guaranteed old and original. Pictures show size and condition. Displays well. Always happy to combine shipping whenever possible. We pack well and ship quickly!
